At the same time, we hope to promote greater awareness of the needy in our midst.

With the help of NUS Assistant Professor Irene Ng (Social Work Department) and Miss Grace Koh, a final year student in Social Work at NUS, we have put together a survey to understand Methodists’ perceptions of poverty and inequality in Singapore.

This is an entirely anonymous survey, so your privacy will be ensured. If you are between 21 and 64 years of age, we would appreciate if you would take the survey. It will only take a few minutes to complete.

MWS Charity Soccer Tournament 2010

It's time to sweat it out while raising funds to help our beneficiaries! Our annual Charity Soccer Tournament is back and Methodist Welfare Services aims to achieve more this time round. Not only do we want to raise $90,000, we want to reach out to the youth and instill in them the need to be socially responsible.

If you like to sponsor cash or in kind, please download this form. And if you and your friends would like to form a team and participate in the tournament, do download this form. For more information on the event, you can contact Ms Quinnie Low at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or 6478 4714.

You can also visit our Facebook event page for the latest updates.

Thanks and we hope to see you on 22 May 2010!

Uncommon Voices Survey

Since we launched our revamped Uncommon Voices in November 2009, we have been curious to find out what our readers think about the new design and content. So if you could kindly complete a very short survey (less than five minutes!) and be honest with your feedback, it will really help us with our future issues.

Here's the URL for the survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VB7Y7XW
